Marathon Training: Tantalus 10 Miler

This week for our long run on Sunday we met 6:30 am at the Makiki pumping station and ran the Tantalus 10 mile loop in a clockwise direction. That means it was up Maikiki Heights and Tantalus Dr. and down Round Top Dr. It was Racquel’s first time running the loop! And, Peng ran it 2&1/2 times for a full marathon distance of 26.2 miles! Wow! Why did you do that Peng?

Next week we will meet 6:30 am at Kailua Beach Park for a long run of 16-20 miles. It’s going to be and easy run around Lanikai and Kailua. If you not training for the Honolulu Marathon or Hawaii Kai Ultra run, that’s ok. Come out and run a shorter distance. Then jump in the water to cool of and relax.
