Training March 13 to 19

Aloha!
Saturday Kapiolani Park 5K Run is free and open to everyone. Run for time or run for fun!
7 am at the Kapiolani Park bandstand. Last week we had students from Kamehameha Schools join us.
We had a fun Sunday Long Run: Half Marathon Training around Tantalus (10 miles) or up to Puu Ualakaa State Park (10K).
This week will be a Sunday Long Run up into Manoa Valley. More details in the weekend email.

(See our photos below)

At the end of the month we will be participating in the Windward Half Marathon & 5K.

We are looking for volunteers on Sunday March 26 for the Windward Half Marathon.
Course Marking with Coach Kawika. This is a very early morning position and takes a special kind of person. Set out cones, arrows, and mile markers starting at 3 AM
Course Marshals. This is a pretty easy and rewarding job of standing on a corner to direct runners on the course. Seems kind of basic, however when you are out there running and tired and not thinking straight, it only takes a moment to miss a cone and get off course. Report at 5:30 AM and then go to your assigned corner. Please ask your family, neighbor, friend, co-worker to assist. We have set a goal of 10 to 13 people from our group.
