If you or someone you know, would like to volunteer as a Course Marshal – please let Coach Kawika know. It’s an easy and rewarding job! It involves standing on a corner to direct runners on the route. We are also looking for one or two people to help set up the cones and markers on the course. It’s a super early morning job, and takes a special kind of person….
This Sunday we meet up for a Tantalus 10 mile run.
Route map: https://goo.gl/maps/fmG79hWJoBH8PdhM7
Meet at the water pumping station at the corner of Makiki St. & Makiki Heights Dr. Street parking available. No restrooms.
Counterclockwise – up Round Top Drive and down Tantalus.
Don’t forget to turn off at Makiki Heights Drive or you will wind up downtown!)
Other options include:
4 miles roundtrip to the Manoa Lookout
6.2 miles to Puu Ualakaa State Park Lookout (restrooms)
10 miles full loop
Please bring water/ drinks, and/or calories (gels, bars, ect.) as there are none available on the route.
I apologize if anyone showed up at Kapiolani Park last Sunday morning. I changed the location on the Meetup event page, however I didn’t send out a correction to the weekly email I orginally sent out.
We did a 6 mile long run from Ala Moana Beach Park to cheer on the runners of the King’s 10K. And, also took a scenic tour of downtown. It was a lot of fun.
