Weekend Training August 15/16

Saturday Timed 5K Run
Every week 7 am on Monsarrat Ave. in front of the Waikiki Shell.
Street parking.
Please wear a mask when we meet up, and then out on the run course is optional.
The route goes 1-1/2 times around the outside of the park and ends at the Queen Kapiolani Statue (same as the Honolulu Marathon finish line).
Everyone welcome! Keiki, kupuna, baby joggers, dog owners, walkers, joggers, racers.

Saturday Timed 5K Run 7 am every week

Sunday Long Run
Meet at the corner of Makiki St. and Makiki Heights Drive for our long run.
Street parking.
Please bring some water/energy drink and snacks (calories) with you. There is nothing available on the route.
Short group will go to the Manoa Viewpoint (4 miles round trip). It’s about 700 ft. elevation gain.

Long group will run the full Tantalus loop of 10 miles. 1500 ft. elevation gain.
The motto for the day is…. “only one hill”.
We’ll discuss the outline for the upcoming Marathon Training Session, which runs from Aug. 16 to December 20.
Other trainings will be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays. 
In the future, we hope to add back in our trainings on Thursday and Friday, which we used to have.
