Join us for a long run Sunday 6:30 am at Ala Moana Beach Park. Meet us near lifeguard tower 1E and the restrooms. There should be plenty of parking in the Magic Island parking lot. Everyone welcome!
Remember to bring water/ electrolyte drink, and some calories in the form of gels, bars, bites, or whatever you prefer. Carry them in a pouch, pack, or belt. I want you to practice taking something in every 20 minutes – so, that you will be used to it by the marathon in December. Also, you can experiment with different types of products to see which one you body reacts to best.
I’ll have some cold watermelon for afterwards, along with some gatorade, and coconut water.
It will be a relatively shorter run – of 8 miles. We have built up from 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 miles – so this will be a bit of a recovery before the 25K (15.5 miles) race next week.
