Orientation will be 6 pm Thursday, August 9 at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. There is free parking at the Waikiki Shell parking lot. Come prepared for a short run/walk.
We will continue to meet every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm and Sunday morning at 6:30 am. Sunday will be our long runs (walk). They’re out and back – so, no one will be left behind. Adventure and bonus runs will be scheduled throughout the clinic to help keep things interesting.
Open to all levels, different groups will be formed to best meet the needs of runners and walkers.
The Run and Walk Clinic is designed to help you get ready for the Honolulu Marathon, the Hawaii Kai Ultra Run, or another fall/winter running event such as the Tantalus 10 Miler, Maui Marathon, Val Nolasco Half Marathon, or the XTerra Trail World Championships.
We will utilize the Marathon Readiness Series of races (15K, 20K, 25K, 30K) as a tool to prepare you for racing strategies.
We teach proper running form, drills, nutrition, stretching, recovery, injury prevention, and equipment. Talks given weekly by experts!
Run Clinic (tech material) t-shirt is included. Registration fees for the Marathon Readiness Series is optional and not included.
